FAQ

What is the best time to schedule a maternity session?

I recommend scheduling your session no later than sometime between 32-34 weeks pregnant. Your bump will be nice and visible, but you won't be totally uncomfortable like you tend to feel towards the middle to end of the third trimester. I scheduled mine for when I was 35 weeks pregnant and I regret not doing it earlier. Also, keep in mind, that your bump tends to be bigger with subsequent pregnancies, so you may need to schedule your session sooner than 32-34 weeks.

How early should I book my session with you?

You can book your session as early as you would like to, even if you're only in your first trimester! When you book early, I can guarantee the day/week of pregnancy that works best for you. So, the earlier the better!

What should I wear?

You can (and should wear) whatever you feel most comfortable in whether thats a gown or your favorite pair of maternity jeans! You will want to wear something that emphasizes your bump. Colors that conceal your bump are blacks and dark navy. Also, patterns that are busy and stripes don't always look the best on camera. If you want a light, ethereal look, then go for creams, whites, and soft neutrals. If you want something with more color, then try jewel tones. If you would like to bring two outfits to be photographed in, please don't hesitate to do so.

Do you have maternity gowns available to choose from?

As of now, I do not. I am looking to purchase some in the near future. When I do, there will be a $50 rental charge added to your session fee to cover the use and dry-cleaning of the garment.

Is there a discount if I book a maternity and newborn session together?

Yes! The price of a maternity session is $250 and a newborn session is $350 equaling $600. If you choose to book both at the same time, you'll receive a discount of $150. Your total cost would be $450 which is a 25% discount. Also, you can swap out one of the session for other options like a Fresh 48 session (in-hospital photography).
